A part of the museum's collections is presented all year round via these two exhibitions.
Take a look back at 2,000 years of history at Salagon. The inscribed and sculpted stones, decorative elements and objects found in excavations or depicted in models will take you back several centuries to discover the first evidence of habitation at Salagon, understand the context in which the first religious building was constructed, discover the different uses to which the site was put through the centuries and how it developed, and imagine how the monks and later the priors lived.
Two models accessible to people with visual impairments are available on request. One model provides an overview of the architecture of Salagon's buildings. The other shows the different ways the site was occupied, as reconstructed by archaeologists. The amazing chronology of Salagon has been pieced together from eight excavations carried out between the 1960s and the late noughties. A wealth of history!
