The documentation centre
Salagon's very well-stocked documentation centre is open to all.
The documentation centre is at the heart of the museum. It includes a library and sound library. At the centre, you will find numerous documents relating to the heritage of Haute-Provence and human sciences more generally.
Le centre de documentation est ouvert, sur réservation, du mardi au jeudi de 9h à 12h30 et de 13h30 à 17h. Et le vendredi de 9h à 12h30 et de 13h30 à 16h.
La consultation des ouvrages se fait uniquement sur rendez-vous et sur place.
La bibliothèque du centre de documentation rassemble plus de 5 700 ouvrages relatifs à l'ethnologie, l'histoire, l'archéologie, le patrimoine, la botanique, l'environnement.
The library
The library houses over 5,700 works on ethnology, history, archaeology, heritage, botany and the environment. These include scientific publications, ethnographic studies and academic writing (dissertations, theses, etc.). Numerous scientific journals are also available for consultation.
Sound library
Salagon sound library houses a collection of original recordings made during ethnographic studies and also during workshops, lectures, etc. This collection is gradually being classified and digitised thanks to support from the Ministry of Culture and Communication and the Mediterranean Human Sciences Centre.
