The scientific committee monitors activities at Salagon. It advises, provides its expertise and makes suggestions relating to exhibitions, research, publications, etc.
Salagon was designed as a research centrefor ethnology and human sciences staffed by scientists. A scientific committee was set up as soon as the Salagon project began, in 1983. It has around 20 members. It maintains close links with the world of research and develops the scientific activities which lie at the heart of Salagon's mission.
