When you visit Salagon, take the time to explore the rolling countryside of Pays de Forcalquier and the Luberon.
Mane is a listed village and "cité de caractère". Come and see the treasures and architectural vestiges of its long history, Concentrate on the outskirts of the village first: explore the dry stone huts or "bories" and the Roman bridge used by pilgrims on their way to Salagon. Next, wander around the streets of Mane up to the citadel (not open to visitors). Underfoot, notice the "calades" (stone road surfaces). On your way, you will see a multitude of façades, antique doors, fountains and pontoons, most of which date from the Middle Ages.
